Visa information

Citizens of most countries will not need visa to enter Poland. The full list of VISA-FREE countries is available at the website of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. If your country is not on the list, the visa will be required on your entry. Please find the detailed information under this address. Transportation from the Warsaw-Chopin Airport

Warsaw Frederic Chopin Airport (WAW) is the main international airport serving Warsaw. It is located just 8 km from the city center. The airport can be easily accessed by public transport or taxi.

Taxi

Use one of the companies recommended by the airport authorities. (Transport offered by unauthorized persons may be neither cheap nor safe). The taxi fare from the airport to the city center is approx. 40 PLN (10 EUR).

Train

The train station is very close to the terminal (follow the signs). Get off at WARSZAWA CENTRALNA or WARSZAWA ŚRÓDMIEŚCIE stations, which are in the city center. The trip takes about 20-25 minutes and a single ticket costs 4.40 PLN (1 EUR).

Bus

To get to the city center take a bus number 175 from the airport. The trip takes about 25-40 minutes (depending on traffic) and a single ticket costs 4.40 PLN (1 EUR). Many hotels can be reached by bus number 175: "Polonia Palace", "Novotel" (stop CENTRUM), "Sofitel Victoria" (stop UNIWERSYTET), "Bristol" (stop HOTEL BRISTOL). Caution against pickpockets is advised.

From Warsaw-Modlin Airport

Warsaw-Modlin Airport (WMI) is served by Ryanair. It is located about 35 km north of Warsaw. The most convienent way to get to the city center is to take a shuttle bus. Tickets can be purchased on-line or at the airport, they cost around 30 PLN (7 EUR) (less if you book in advance).
